Coalition for System Change

To facilitate a coalition of opposition political parties, stakeholders and aspiring presidential candidates to contest the upcoming elections with an effort to mobilize citizens and friends of The Gambia; good governance advocacy groups across all sectors of civil society to drive for system change; institutional reform, put in place constitutional reform; poverty alleviation; social justice and anti-corruption measures

• COALITION FOR SYSTEM CHANGE was founded on April 27, 2024
• Due to concerns of the continual decline of the political situation and the security of the population in The Gambia; worried about the worsening living conditions of most of our people in the face of increasing corruption and personal enrichment among senior government officials; cognizant of our duty as patriotic Gambians to galvanize to intervene to halt and reverse the situation; we have decided to come together to answer to the solemn call of our time and to the yearning of our people to mobilize Gambians to wrest power away from the current regime that failed to implement the recommendations of reforms by Coalition 2016 after two decades of fervent struggle.
• We want a government that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people; a government that will implement policies and programs geared towards reducing poverty and fervently and sincerely fight corruption at all levels of the state apparatus. A government that will continually audit itself as both an example and a signal to the rest of the population that there is a change from the old order towards the common good so as to re-awaken the patriotic glow that has been killed due to the unending betrayal of their ideals by some self centered  politicians since independence.
• In this regard, we dedicate ourselves towards working diligently in collaboration with like-minded groups and individuals in identifying prospective presidential candidates that we shall throw our wholehearted financial and economic support to vie for the presidency in 2026.
• Objectives: The objectives of CSC are defined or implied in the vision statement.
• Activities: The activities that are meant to actualize our vision are implied in the mission statement.
• Organizational Status: Registration with a 501 (c) 3 status are pending...
• The day-to-day affairs of CSC is run by an executive committee consisting of a chairman, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, public relations director, mass movement chair, liaison officer, mass movement outreach coordinator, grass-roots fundraising chair and legal adviser(pending).
